Risk Verification

Risk verification tests defined claims about identity, history, credentials, relationships or commercial activity. A claim-by-claim summary records the supporting evidence, the status of each representation and any further verification required.

A claim-by-claim approach

The key distinction is between what can be supported, what is contradicted, what remains unresolved and what cannot reasonably be verified from available sources. That is more useful than treating every missing record as evidence that a statement is false.

When focused verification is preferable

This approach can suit executive or adviser appointments, proposed investments, introductions, commercial negotiations, private-client concerns and disputes where one or more representations have become important. An initial assessment identifies the claims to test and any connected background or due-diligence questions to include in the brief.

Evidence quality matters

Each finding is accompanied by its source basis and an assessment of confidence. Official records, professional registers and other material are evaluated for their relevance, reliability and support for the claim under review.

What clients receive

A typical output is a concise verification matrix or findings note setting out the material claim, the evidence located, its status and any follow-up question arising from it. More complex matters can be expanded into a chronology or relationship analysis where the claims are interconnected.
